CEO, President

Andrew Smart

Andrew is the President and CEO of Duke Brands. Having grown up in the family business, Andrew is proud to further the company’s 100-year heritage in Greenville.

Andrew attended both Clemson and Wingate Universities. In addition to his involvement in the business community and leadership initiatives, Andrew supports Dabo Swinney’s All-In Foundation and the Meyer Center for Special Children. Andrew also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Wingate University.

Andrew and his wife, Julie, are members of Taylors First Baptist Church. They live in Greenville with their two children, Drew and Claire.

Chief Financial Officer

Ben Leinster

Ben is the Chief Financial Officer, responsible for overseeing the company’s financial agenda. His duties include reporting historical financial information, evaluating current economic conditions, and developing future economic strategies and forecasts. In addition, Ben oversees the company’s Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, and IT Departments. Prior to joining Duke Brands, Ben practiced law for more than a decade focusing on real estate and business transactions.

Ben and his wife Ashley are members of Downtown Presbyterian Church. They spend most of their free time chasing after their three young boys.

 
 

 
 

Chief Marketing Officer

Chris Collins

Chris is the Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of the company’s marketing initiatives, as well as new business development.

Chris was born and raised in Rock Hill. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was a scholarship athlete for the wrestling team and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. Chris started his professional career in Atlanta, GA with Newell Rubbermaid, working exclusively with the Home Depot corporate office. He then pursued an opportunity with Liberty Mutual Insurance, and relocated to Greenville, SC as the South Carolina Sales & Operations Manager. In, 2008 Chris co-founded South Carolina Insurance Brokers. After selling the agency in 2012, he joined Duke Foods as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. 

Chris is active in the community, having served on the Greenville Chamber Board of Advisors, Greenville Children’s Hospital Advisory Council, PULSE’s Advisory Board, Greenville County’s Safety Coalition, and the Greenville County Human Relations Commission. He is also a Class 36 graduate of Leadership Greenville through the Greenville Chamber of Commerce.

Chris was selected as one of “Greenville’s Best & Brightest under the age of 35” by Greenville Magazine. He has also been featured on the cover of the Link publication for Young Entrepreneurs.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys going to the gym, coaching wrestling, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Lindsey, and children, Adalyn and Caleb.

Chief Operating Officer

Scott Smart

Scott is the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the daily operation of the company. He is proud to be a part of the next generation of the family business, having grown up working in the Duke Sandwich shops under his Grandfather and Uncle.

Scott spent more than 20 years in the Navy as a helicopter and fixed-wing pilot before retiring as a Commander. His experience as a Commanding Officer dealing with all aspects of running a military facility serves the company well.  Following his naval career, Scott worked for Bell Helicopter in Fort Worth, TX as a flight instructor. He was responsible for training customers in the classroom, as well as with simulators and on the aircraft. 

Scott attended the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD graduating with a degree in Oceanography. He later earned an Executive Master in Business Administration through the Navy Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA.

When not at work, Scott enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and two sons.
